The dogs played well together. It is very clean and beautiful there!Very nice park! A wonderful refuge.The dog beach deff gets pack but it as a good time. Great views of the bay. And although the park is far from where I live, it's definitely worth the trip.My dog and I have been searching everywhere for somewhere to unleash and frolic in the summer sunshine. It was very difficult to locate to be honest. We will be regularsLove having a place for rolls to bring their dogs to run and play in the water. The beach portion was not totally fenced in - if we were actually at the beach. Also in the park is a camping area near the entrance. The park offers great trails that are shaded. Also, the bathrooms are very neat and clean. Organizations using the park include the Friends of Downs Park, Garden Volunteers, Volunteers-in-the-Park and the Downs Park Quilters Guild. Not sure why this park has such average/bad reviews, it's honestly beautiful, huge, and the doggy beach is pawesome (see what I did there?). Our one loves the water the other hates it. Would probably visit again, but disappointed in the condition of the beach.My daughter had her wedding at Mothers Garden here.This park is always a mini-vacation for me. A hidden gem for sure.nice place for fishing and cookout. So when it's busy there are a lot of dogs everywhere and a fight can breakout quickly if your dog doesn't get along with all types of other dogs.We have been searching for a place for awhile to take out dogs. The beach is quite literally covered with rocks and sticks so it was very uncomfortable to walk around on. Just go! Not overly crowded. Located close by.My dog loves this beach, but unfortunately it is not completely fenced -- meaning that it is possible for your dog to escape into the main park. Downs Park. It was $6 per car to enter the park. This was a pretty park in all. Your dog will definitely have fun! There are lots of trails both asphalt-covered and natural surface, multiple pavilions, playground, picnic areas, launch area for kayaks/canoes, and plenty of space both in the sun and in the shade for hanging out. This beach is very small and on a weekend, there are sooo many dogs here. Downs Park, run by the Anne Arundel Department of Recreation & Parks, is a wonderful asset to residents of the county.
