As others have said War of the Ancients is the story of the Night Elves. But the 3 Chronicle books are the best ones really. This means that instead of being listed by when the material was published, it’s being listed by its order in the Warcraft lore timeline.

And if WoD taught us anything then Shaman > Warrior in a 1v1 ;)I’d make the argument that Mages are even more prominent. You got the old bros like Khadgar, Medivh, Antonidas, Aegwyn and Anasterian. You got the young kids like Jaina, Rhonin, and Kael’Thas (before he got a little too close to the fel)And you also have your upcoming antagonist, Azshara, who is likely the most powerful mage currently on Azeroth. This isn’t counting the entirety of the blue Dragonflight and their prominent members (Kalecgos and Malygos) because that would be cheating.Sure, they aren’t nearly as manly as warriors, and yeah they’re reliant on arcane energy for their power, but I think Mages have shaped the world of Azeroth to a greater extent than any other class, for better or for worse.Druid or shaman have a really cool theme and some very interesting characters.
[1] In my heavily biased opinion, Mages. With our mind clear and grounded in the here and now we guide our allies through the thick of battle, our battle cries rallying our comrades and demoralizing our adversaries.Who has the best lore you ask, Warriors of course, and if you disagree I'll rip your wings off.Shamans don't have wings. No wonder tyrande is upset. It just adds so much complication to a basic RPG concept that previously Warcraft lore kept closely tied to the Burning Legion.

“MY LIFE IS DEDICATED TO THE DESTRUCTION OF THE BUUUUUURNING LEEEEEEEGION”It used to be Paladins but they butchered that with all this army of the light / naaru are actual magical aliens leading the army of the light bullshit / human Paladins are basically children who hardly understand the light at all bullshitAlso that's basically the entirety of the brewmaster artifact quest line.Li Li and Chen go to Stormstout’s: The most epic beer run on Azeroth.New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castPress J to jump to the feed. It just leads to bad storytelling and contradictions. Its why I am just prepping myself for the Alliance to get hit by Blizzards subpar writers saying Actuwaaally Tularyan is evil and insane and now Alliance players get to be evil until we let he stand up against him, isn't that cool and amazing? )These are the things that make the Warcraft story so compelling to me: because it's believable. See you in Azeroth in a week and a half!Read the Chronicles!! I guess the question is: is there malice behind the terrible consequences of void magic, a desire to inflict pain and suffering, or are those things just "irrelevant" side effects?Or am I fundamentally misunderstanding something about all of this?I know there is a term for it, but can't think of it.This subreddit is for discussions about the lore of Warcraft!Press J to jump to the feed.

Complicated decision. Nobbel the Noble: Lore,Guides and Tips for World of Warcraft and now also other games! They caused the legion to show up the first time, one helped make the portal to outland, they created the guardian, aegwynn defeated the avatar of Sargeras and Khadgar has lead the player heroes over the last two expansions. You wanna be evil? Elune is the primary goddess of the night elven pantheon. 18 comments. Regardless, a lot of cool lore to be found in there.Surprised nobody mentioned Warcraft III! And also, knowledge of the plot of Warcraft 3 is largely required to understand The War of the Ancients trilogy.Lord of the Clans is a good one to understand who Thrall is, and who the Horde are.

And the answer is no, no its not. Shamanistic tauren and orcs that love and communicate with nature on the same faction as face eating blight spreading undead and arrogant arcane magic wielding high elves is kind of a weird mix.The idea to have the story tie around 2 factions beating their heads at each other for no real reason rather than the races themselves competing for resources and land etc in their own isolated campaigns is what caused this story disaster.Tldr: focus on more relatable race conflicts rather than faction conflict of "Red vs Blue". Their lore is sprinkled across the entire history of Azeroth since the Titans left and has been a major driving force behind big events. I am well aware that most people will answer Druids. share. It's also been noted that they received very little supplies from their Vrykul "parents" and sort of had to fend for themselves for the most part throughout their thousands of years of existence.

Chronicles books.

Khadgar aged quickly, magic is described on several occasions to cause premature aging. But it generally seems to happen more with those that practice arcane magic. As far as I am aware frost mages and Fire mages are fine and age normally.Does anybody have any information to confirm or deny these speculations?I think it's known that the Forsaken stink of death and rotting corpses, from what I can remember, it has been mentioned a few times, but not nearly as much as you would expect when being around armies of rotting corpses...But my question is about Death Knights, who seem a whole lot less... rotted. ; Orcs are fecund and commonly have large litters because so many die in childhood. Warlocks and the Legion utilize living souls as essentially ammunition, annihilating from existence countless beings in order to gain great powers. Is the Void "evil" in the same way, or is it just necessarily destructive as a byproduct of its bizarre and incomprehensible nature?
