While an Assassin's Creed Odyssey Cyclops is apparently teased early on, it's not the real deal. Once you reach Atlantis, however, things change drastically, tasking you with tracking down a number of mythical beasts. Here you’ll find a gaggle of NPCs arguing about a “god” who has been taken captive in a nearby fort. The Cyclops is a mythical creature in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, part of the Gates of Atlantis questline. It's only in front of his personal statue that he'll give you the full spiel though, so prepare yourself for a man who actually believes he's a god and wants to introduce you to his celestial family. Complete the quest to get the key, and then head to the island to complete the newly unlocked Stairway to Olympos quest.Slot the key into the shrine and the gate will open, revealing Brontes The Thunderer, AKA the Cyclops. To operate the gate, you will need to gather four different artifacts. In this instance, we’ll be retrieving the artifact from Kythera, which is held by the Cyclops.To begin your hunt for the one-eyed beast, head to Kythera Island and locate the A God Among Men sidequest, which can be found at the Pilgrimage Site on the island’s northwestern coastline. Defeating the Cyclops is a bit of a challenge, but by now you’ll be very comfortable with Odyssey’s combat system, so you should be fine. Head over there, and go through the cave, swim through the water and emerge to find Empedokles standing by a half-broken door, talk to him and prepare yourself to meet his family. New York, NY 10036. Accept the quest, and head just down the road to infiltrate the fort and rescue Empedokles.Empedokles will then offer you the Left to Dye sidequest, which tasks you with finding his purple cloak. Don't worry though, he's got underwear on to hide his gift from our mere mortal eyes.
Unsurprisingly, the Cyclops’s weak point is his glowing single eye, so whip out your bow and hit some precision shots with the deadliest arrows you have. But first, he'll need to go fetch him a disk - which will eventually be the key to opening the door to the Cyclops. Be wary of his new sweeping attack, which can knock you to the ground, allowing for him to fit in several (potentially lethal) followup blows. Thankfully, the key was stolen by the same man who took Empedokles' clothes, and happens to be strolling nearby.
As you've probably learned with games now, the glow's the goal, and his glowing eye makes for a serious weakpoint. The Cyclops is one of four optional end-game bosses in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that takes you on a wild ride from naked god’s trapped in wooden cages to a short, brutal journey into the heart of an Isu death trap. For defeating the Cyclops you get an engraving that lets you deal 25% more damage on elite and boss enemies, and the Legendary Heavy Bladed Polyphemos Cyclops Bludgeon, which actually has the same perk as the engraving.
