We tried to bring up concerns with management, after a cart almost hit one of our children while sitting at our site. Guest behavior (towards our teammates and our guests) matters to management. We were across from the waterpark and on a main road which was also not great with small kids.
I would never come back here again. This place is a wreck this year!
The evening golf car parade is part of the family culture that evolved over the years.
Customer service and security departments are a joke.
Not just your site. Sun. She said she didn't know. One of our first sites literally had power lines coming out of ground - we couldn't believe that was a legitimate $60 a night site. Another gentleman pulled up on a golf cart in a royal blue collar shirt and dark hair. Own or manage this property? Please know that we share your concern about golf cars and management does take it very seriously. Wish I had time to enjoy them (such is work).

I am not sure. We chose this area because it was on a creek (my husband loves fishing), and it is a quieter area of the campground. The bath house on our loop was very nice and I saw people there cleaning them multiple times a day. It boasts an amazing assortment of amenities (splash pool, indoor pool with retractable roof, etc). Maintenance is the worst. Highly recommend this place. !The security guard is clearly incompetentMy family is here for the first time.
Bathrooms and showers are a treat to use. It was obvious that the "manager" we spoke to didn't give a hoot about customer satisfaction.
Also, what campsite doesn't let you use your own golf cart....BUT you can rent one of theirs?? Plus, you didn't mention this - but some of our oceanfront Security have awesome dance moves and "high fives" for the family parade :) We hope you can visit again soon! They cram so many campers in here you have no room to move.
Our bikes were locked up and the lock was cut. We had no issues during our stay. They would do nothing. Of course, we jumped up to get over there.
Don't ever hesitate to reach out to our teammates with questions about a site. Very family friendly and courteous staff! We camp at Pirateland 3-4 times per year.
We were assured that the campground was operating under strict Covid guidelines.
The water park is fantastic and great for kids!
Young drivers are allowed to run ramped throughout the park. The dog walk area waste bags were not filled all week. The campground showed a total disrespect for their patron's health during the Covid situation! People just cut through ur campsite on bikes, on foot and golf carts.
We have been coming here for over 20 years. I understand your concern, not sure how many sites were open that weekend when you chose your site, but we want guests to find one in the "right" location for their family - I apologize you were not happy with your site location. 7:00 am - 12:00 am. It's so clean with friendly staff and very family oriented. Love staying here but they need to fix the communication with the security guard at the gate.
