The attraction to the Anthology Collection is the use of alternative takes of old Beatles standards.

There are several versions of some tracks so it is possible to see how these developed over time before arriving at the versions that appeared on other albums. On another note, however, the record doesn't bring much more than the same material we've all heard numerous times back to life, only in an incomplete form. I love the Beatles, play lots of their music myself on guitar, was in a rock group that had a top 3 national hit in the late 60's, so this was like catnip for me.
