The attraction to the Anthology Collection is the use of alternative takes of old Beatles standards.
There are several versions of some tracks so it is possible to see how these developed over time before arriving at the versions that appeared on other albums. On another note, however, the record doesn't bring much more than the same material we've all heard numerous times back to life, only in an incomplete form. This album contains many raw versions of many well known Beatles tracks from 1965 - 1968. Please try again. I also did not have a recording by the band of Real Love, although I do have the solo John Lennon demo. Apple Music Classic Rock The album is worth the money just for that track. I love the Beatles, play lots of their music myself on guitar, was in a rock group that had a top 3 national hit in the late 60's, so this was like catnip for me. Any true Beatles fan should own the full set, which I am happy to say that I do.
