I looted the body and read the diary/notes and the quest would not advance. Already have cleared folgunthar and have killed the mage I need to now learn the truth from (daynus valen).

EDIT: This bug seems to work with any amulet.
Please either enable it in your browser options, or visit your I searched for solutions but this seams like a rare bug. Reading Lost Legends will then render all three writs of sealing and the Ancient Edict useless. ; Read Daynas Valen's journal and notes in Folgunthur to learn the truth in the legend. The one Im running into the bug with is the Forbidden Legend (Gauldur Amulet) quest - I cant get it to start no matter what I do.
The first lever on the right activates doors 1, 3, and 4; the second lever on the right activates doors 1 and 4; the first lever on the left activates doors 2 and 3; the second lever on the left activates door 3. All 4 spirits were in there (the quest progressed two steps ahead automatically before), but the gate was down. Anyone have any answers for this? There is a bridge that I need to lower to get across to get the amulet I need. But I've been stuck in th same spot on this quest for a long time now.
Im at the final fight and after i kill the three brothers nothing happens... they dont get banihed and i cant get out... So I had to toggle something so i could walk through walls, and toggle it back off afterwards. The arrowhead is still over the body after looting and reading. Forsworn conspiracy glitch
Have you started the "Forbidden Legends" quest, or did you just go there to get the amulet? I noticed the book in Farengar's study but it was too late. The quest is permanently bugged. I was able to complete the quest. I am in one area of Giermund's hall that I cannot get past. I retreived the last fragment from saarthal and after that the quest didn't advance any more.I tried the setstage command but as usual, it didn't do anything.Maybe remove one of the fragments with console then re-add it (or removing the 3 then re-add them all).--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1 When you are in Saarthaar with the dude from Winterhold, just advance normal until you need to fight the final Gauldur brother, the one who has the last amulet fragment2 Now make sure you disable active quests and then make sure you enable "Forbidden Legend"3 Now just kill the ugly zombie dude and take the amulet fragment4 You will get a message "Completed: Find the Gauldur amulet fragment" or something similar but you won't get a new assignment5 Enable your quest from Winterhold "Under Saarthaar"6 Now go to the big, weird glowing object and talk to the guy from Winterhold8 Leave the big cave via the provided exit and go to Reachwater Rock (for info 9 Enter the cave and solve the puzzles (no problem if you've already been here and solved one of the puzzles, I had the same)10 Keep running until you can lay down the amulet fragments on some sort of stands12 Congrats, you have completed the quest "Forbidden Legends" and you will get a message "Completed..."* My mistake was that I didn't have the right quest active at the right moment which resulted in very strange behavior inside Reachwater Rockif your stuck in geirmund's hall and cant get out just use the wooden plate bug through the wall and out on the other sideEasy Question: Calling RefCollectionAlias script function from MCM buttonMy character always turns invisible when I don't use spellsFallout 4: Having problems with invisible objects/walls and expanded textures across the screenIn-game ESP Explorer mod is not working. Jyrik is the last of the three, and he will teleport himself around at random times and summon daedric enemies to help him out. Im going to answer the original topic because im having the same issue and had to figure it out myself if you go to next quest location and place the amulet fragments it will update the quest to the final step if you dont know where to go just go to Reachwater Rock East of Markarth i figured this out because i had already been there but i didnt have the ivory claw so while i was doing this quest i found it and knew where it went. Maybe I can go to Folgunthar & that will start it.... We'll see. I've been working around with the console and when I type getstage dunGauldursonQST it returns that the quest stage is at 111. Is there a second level underneath that I cant find? I'm at the same point as the guy above. Is there anything after once you assemble the necklace, or is that the last part of the questline? It won't let me progress now. Sigdis will neither teleport to nor create illusions on the platform you are standing on, however he can knock you off the platform with his Use your combat method of choice and defeat the hard boss.
