They did the right thing in the end. Crispy Chick Peas, Baby Carrots, Sweet Potato Fingerlings & Lemon Parsley YogurtServed After 4:00 pm. So much so that they couldn’t even eat itFood was absolutely awful (could barely eat it) and the service was almost equally as bad. The duck skin was rubbery and not the crisp deliciousness that you expect. Pork chop was very dry.
Parmesan, Fennel, Parsley & SpinachFood was tasteless and the service was poor. We are definitely planning to come back and actually stay in the lodge. Kanu Winery menu in image format shown on this website has been digitised by Zomato.com. Apps and salad were great.Food was over priced for dinner. Highly recommend for a romantic date night!Nine cold entrees. The food was fantastic, with great taste and presentation. Today I am trying their Plant Burger with an Almond Latte. They have a open and clean design, that was well thought out.
Kanu proudly presents our new Italian venue, DOPPIO ZERO Pizza. It gives the vibes off of a rocky cottage in Jasper. Venison was sold out by 730 which is baffling but in its place was a $37 lamb loin which half of which was over cooked and the other half so overcooked it was like a hockey puck. Service gracious and timely. Those dishes should’ve been less than $42 for their tastings. Diverse menu and wonderful attentive service. {"baseUrl":"http://www.opentable.com","environment":"prod-sc","hostName":"mesos-agent48-prod-sc.otsql.opentable.com:31636","language":"en","releaseName":"start-page-docker_teamcity_2.0.10252","requestId":"44dc8811-7248-4898-9f42-7080712e66c2"} President Culinary Federation of Fiji. So unexpected and generous of her!! The restaurant did not charge us for a single entree but we left without eating and agreeing it was the absolute oddest and worst dining experience. Wife’s beet salad had hardly any beets and the dessert tasted store bought. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend.Early seating, table beside giant roaring fire while looking at biggest indoor Christmas tree I have ever seen. Food and service are outstanding. We were returning to the Whiteface Lodge for a one night stay, and decided to eat at their restaurant Kanu, after reviewing the menu.It pains me to write negatively about Kanu - after all we were married in this very spot in 2018 and had a simply magical wedding. The server, as mentioned, was very professional and apologetic and comped us for much of our meal.
Kanu Restaurant is chef Lance Seeto’s newest cultural eatery which opens late February 2020. My wife was thrilled there were vegetarian options for her. Chef Seeto has collaborated with Taveuni’s Elevate Organics to include euphoric and energy boosting herbs, flowers and spices from their farm to put you into an island state of mind.KANU is set apart from the industry as a contemporary interpretation of Fijian flavours that showcase unique native ingredients. Vegetables were raw. So unexpected and generous of her!! Spring Vegetables, Garlic, Basil, Cream & Maplebrook BurratiniServed After 4:00 pm. Our server Tiffany was great...personal and attentive. Perfect eveningThe ambiance is spectacular and service was great. Food was tasty with portions that left you satisfied but not stuffed. Extensive travel throughout the country has exposed Chef Lance to many techniques and diverse ingredients.Using sustainably-sourced seasonal produce, KANU aims to create awareness around how beneficial and flavoursome the traditional diets and ingredients of Fiji were, while influencing and educating today’s audience to eat and live healthier through learning new ways to enjoy Fijian flavours. The strip steak had a thick layer of grizzle and was not a good cut of meat. 784-9030 Selection was weak. The room is massive and impressive, and they lit the huge fireplaces, so there was a nice glow and warmth, in a room with massive windows. Would not hesitate to go back.I would suggest drop the radish and vermont butter first course.Food was mediocre. Had "truffle" risotto with shrimp.
Tiffany was loud and inattentive. Maybe bc I went on a Sunday night? A journey through the new tastes of Fiji awaits you.
