The Tobruk rests on her starboard side only a few metres below the surface. She was built from 1978 to 1980 by Carrington Slipways on the Hunter River near Newcastle, New South Wales. She was subsequently gifted to the Queensland Government for use as a dive wreck.
Her keel was laid down in Newcastle, NSW in 1979, launched in 1980, and commissioned in 1981. Additional charges apply if you wish to hire all equipment.
