"Many German students have found "Hammer's German Grammar and Usage" to be a very valuable resource. This doesn't happen here. the book is good for an all around practice for people who are just starting to learn german, it does not cover many topics and the ones it does are not covered thoroughly.

I am a self-taught student and I bought this book to strenghten the basis. I highly recommend this product. While you do have many options available, these are among the best German grammar books you can find today. I've read quite a few beginners' books, and would say that most are better for complete beginners. I am French but even so, I do have a hard time with the subjonctive tense, I finally manage to master it after practise makes it perfect.

I was hoping the same results with the German book but I found it a bet deceiving mainly by the lack of translation German/English as it was the case in the other books which makes you loosing time to search in a dictionary or even online.
