Django is one of my favorite Tarantino films. Jackson plays a very interesting role as Stephen, Leo's loyal house slave. He lets the two female black servants go, but shoots Stephen in the knees, then lights dynamite and leaves the house. The “Django Unchained” plot synopsis serves to clarify and formalize much of what we have already heard about the film, namely that it focuses on the partnership of Jamie Foxx’s Django and Christoph Waltz’s bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz. The executive producers are Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Michael Shamberg, Shannon McIntosh, and James Skotchdopole.

Simply phenomenal. Clearly its rated R and it has several gruesome violent scenes, it also contains vulgar language and numerous uses of the "n" word. He asks if Django knows the Brittle Brothers and with the affirmative, he buys Django for him. Django shoots a ton of Candie's comrades, but has to stop when one of them shows up holding Broomhilda hostage with a gun to her head.
I loved how the audience sees his character evolve from a powerless slave to a confident powerful man. Which brings me to my next point, the cast is absurd!

Leo is my personal favorite actor ever since his performance in "The Departed" and it was incredible to see him take on the challenging role as his first villain, Calvin Candie, possibly the most evil character I've ever seen in a film. Django grabs a gun and a massive shootout starts up.

Also, they come to some suspicions of the head slave named Stephen. Two years before the Civil War pits brother-against-brother, German-born fugitive hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz) arrives in America determined to capture the outlaw Brittle brothers dead or alive. I am glad to report that at the showing I went to (at the 4-Star Theatre in San Francisco), there was no inappropriate laughter at the dynamite scene like Cord Jefferson encountered. With the help of a German bounty hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner. WARNING: Spoilers. They agree to split the proceeds with him on a bounty (which he concocts using an old wanted ad) and untie him. A small detail in Django Unchained (Spoiler!) He introduces himself as Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz).Schultz is clearly more intelligent and enlightened than the Specks.

In addition to these three remarkable performances, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson also deliver. Their journey takes them to a plantation called Candieland, owned by a ruthless tycoon. I have only seen Waltz in "Inglorious Bastards" other than "Django Unchained" and he is rapidly climbing my favorite actors list. Schutlz agrees but as he approaches Candie, Schutlz shoots him instead. Upon arriving at Candie's nefarious plantation, dubbed Candyland, Django and Dr. Schultz discover that slaves are being groomed for gladiator-like competitions by Candie's malevolent right-hand man Billy Crash (Walton Goggins), and together they skillfully work their way onto the compound for a closer look.

Meanwhile, Django never loses sight of his mission to free Broomhilda from the treacherous slave trade before it's too late.

Django and Schultz's search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of "Candyland," an infamous plantation where slaves are … Just make sure your 17, have your license, and have a stomach for more of the most gruesome violence I have yet to see on a screen. This movie is a western, a drama, a tragedy, a comedy, an action, a thriller, and at it's deepest roots a romance.
