We arrived a little early and visited reception to ask where their afternoon tea was served (it was not obvious as the restaurant is visible from the entrance but tea was at the bar not the restaurant) The table was not prepared and he had to remove the menus and tray of condiments and return to lay the table with a tablecloth, crockery and cutlery. Arrived at Coldra court hotel expecting a nice quality hotel as its now part of the Celtic manor , I have stay at Celtic manor several times and have never been disappointed , arrived New Year's Day and was offered a room upgrade to there newly refurbished rooms at a extra supplement apparently they are on par with Celtic manor , on entering the room we found we were over looked by several others rooms with full view of ours which went the black out curtains had to be drawn as there were no blinds or nets , the lighting in the room was very poor being only a bedside lamp which made it impossible to see properly or enable you to get ready , the small lamp on the dressing table lamp did not work , there is no full length mirror , only one drinking glass and three coat hangers , our room door had been under coated but no top coat very shappy bathroom not cleaned properly , new carpets have been laid but not hovered bits every where , please do not expect Celtic manor standards if you stay here , when I complained at the reception I was told there was no manager in to speak to ?
